If you are interested in leading a ride, please PM me with your info. Being a guide is very fun, so get off your back side and show these guys and gals what you know.......

Leader________Friday_______________Saturday___________Sunday
cherokee_chuck__Hooligan Ride-10:00 (4.5)___Cherokee Run-9:00 (2)___Dead-End Tour-9:30 (3)
baggitard______________________________Motard Ride -8:45 (1.5)
TBA

TBA

Special Ride:
Thursday-Early Bird Run-Noon (3.5)

opt. = maximum level is optional

Reminder: The ratings that these trails/roads get, is a result of at least 1 place on the ride, having that level of difficulty. Use summaries to decide if a tour is right for you. :ricky:

SUMMARY OF TOURS

Hooligan Ride - This ride is designed for those riders looking for the coolest, yet ugliest terrain you care to tackle with your KLR. The route is consistently throwing out 3.5 and 4.0's. You will benefit with lower sprocket gearing and knobbies! THIS IS THE MOST CHALLEGING HOOLIGAN RIDE, TO DATE!

Cherokee Run - I have grouped some of my favorite roads, paved and dirt, to offer one of the most scenic and fun routes of the weekend. This ride is 2-up friendly, but don't let that stop the aggressive riders! It also happens to be my fastest route, if you so please.

Dead-End Tour - During my scouting over the years, I've come across some excellent views, water crossings, trails, etc., just to come to a dead end. This tour is in honor of these 'turn-arounds'. So, you will definitely want to stick around and check out this agressive, fun ride.

Motard Ride - Looking for 'Scenic Speed'? Well, you have found it. Along the 210-220 miles of gravel FS and the local wicked twisty pavement, you will have some excellent photo opps! All roads will be "fine" with 17 inch tires, though. The pace on the gravel will be scenic, the pace on the pavement will be uh, a bit higher..... Map: http://www.knology.net/~klkman/TdTIII_Motard.jpg

Early Bird Run - It's a secret.

Others to come........

We probably need to have more than one group going. Would you be interested in leading it on Sunday?

The Hooligan Ride this year is Squally Creek! It takes quite a while to go thru the whole thing (plus there's an optional side route at the buried axle intersection). I'm leading the one on Friday; I may have someone leading the same thing on Sat.; and if you want to lead a group on Sun., that would all make the groups smaller and better to manage.

The rally is the 3rd weekend of May (16-18).

That's what I'm saying: "Can you lead a group on Sunday through some of the areas you know that could make up a good 3.5-4.0 rating?" Saturday will be the day that has the most riders, and I'm hoping to put together the most rides then. But, Sunday will need to have a few rides, also...... If you want to lead another group through the 'Hooligan', that would be good, too.

Dead-End Tour - During my scouting over the years, I've come across some excellent views, water crossings, trails, etc., just to come to a dead end. This tour is in honor of these 'turn-arounds'. So, you will definitely want to stick around and check out this medium aggressive, fun ride.

Reminise Run - This ride isn't what you think..... This is a repeat of TDT-II's Hooligan Ride. Last year this route became infamous, and so it is brought back to you for another year. Sure, it may have been knocked down a peg by this year's 'Hooligan Ride', but please don't take this ride lightly: it's still a whopper of a fun/aggressive ride! This year it will be led by rockbreaker, member of last year's Hooligan Ride posse.

Tailored Tour - No.... this is not a tour to the department store, unless that's were you want to go. William is going to tailor this ride to your liking. His sole purpose for this Saturday is to take you to whatever place you have heard about and/or always wanted to go see. What a guy......

Early Bird Run - It's a secret.

Others to come........

Hey Chuck, If you want to put me back to 8:45 or even 8:30, I'd be OK with that, just cuz I know people dawdle around. I'm one of those guys that rides from fillup to fillup and you know it will still be a good 6 hours to cover that 200 miles. Add in photo stops and regroups and I expect it to be a decent all day ride. 9:00 would be a "I ain't leavin any later than" time. You have the rides pretty well clustered together right now, some more time between groups might be better? but I'm just guessing on that.

Yep, they are a little clustered, but I'm still hoping for a couple of more leaders to step forward for Saturday, which by staggering them every 15 minutes would keep people from having to wait too long to get going. We can move yours back to 8:45. The main reason I moved it forward is to make sure everyone can get ready and eat before you leave..........

What's good about your route is that if you are running behind, you can always make some minor adjustments and it gets you back at a decent hour.

Good point, I definitely have some "loops" in there that can be cut out and we can bail out in a number of spots and just hit pavement to get back. Even still, I think we should be back about 1700-1800 hrs even with photo stops and such.

Dollar Menu Tour - Tricked you, again! McDonalds is not on the menu for this ride, because nobody can hold a candle to the food you get for these prices.... http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg24 ... ide139.jpg. This tour will take you on the historic and sweet Joe Brown Hwy, stop for an excellent lunch in Andrews, across the mountain on the 'Gravel Dragon', before cruising back to camp along the Skyway. Literally the best 'bang for the buck' ride we got....

Early Bird Run - It's a secret.

Others to come........

Hey RideScheduleMaster, I mean Chuck, I see you've totalled somewhere around 140 riders, but there isn't too much planned for Friday. If you think there is enough interest to move the motard ride to Friday I'd be more than game for that. Do whatever you'd like to meet needs/wants.

Sat. will definitely be the busiest day, but can you lead a Friday ride, ALSO???? Definitely could use the help.

Greg, can you lead a Sunday Ride?
